The RENFE Class 449 is the name for a class of electric multiple unit trains built by CAF, Alstom and Siemens for regional services around Spain, under the brand Media Distancia. The first units entered service in 2009.

Services

Class 449 units operate on MD (Media Distancia), Regional Exprés or Intercity regional rail services.

They also operate on Rodalies de Catalunya Rodalies de Catalunya regional rail services R11, R15 and R16.
