Supernova 2008ax was a type Ib supernova in Peculiar Galaxy NGC 4490. As the name indicates, it was discovered in 2008 on 3 March by LOSS [1] and Koichi Itagaki.[2] It was the 3rd brightest supernova of 2008.[2]
