Samantha Lee Munro (born October 19, 1990) is a Canadian actress. She is best known for her role as Anya MacPherson on Degrassi: The Next Generation.[1] In 2015, Munro was cast in the role of Shannen Doherty/Brenda Walsh in Lifetime's The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story.[2][3]
Life and career
Munro was born in Oshawa, Ontario. Before making her television appearances, she was a member of the Oshawa Little Theater, where she performed in Alice in Wonderland, Tom Sawyer, and The Wizard of Oz.
Munro enjoys Equestrianism, swimming, and soccer. She is also a gymnast in floor, vault, and trampoline.
In 2008, Samantha traveled to Ecuador with the organization Free the Children. A documentary of the trip was made for MTV in Canada. In the summer of 2010, she and other Degrassi cast members travelled to India with Free the Children and the documentary was aired on MuchMusic.
