Sardam
History
General characteristics
Type: Yacht

Sardam was a 17th-century Dutch East India Company (VOC) yacht (Dutch: jacht). It was a small merchant vessel designed primarily for the inter-island trade in the East Indies.

The ship sailed for Java in October 1628 as part of a flotilla commanded by commandeur Francisco Pelsaert, and arrived safely in the Banda Strait in July 1629.

Sardam was selected by Governor Jan Coen to sail south to the Australian coast and rescue survivors and salvage cargo from Batavia, which had been wrecked in the Houtman Abrolhos. She subsequently became involved in the aftermath of the notorious mutiny that took place subsequent to Batavia's wreck.
