Seoul Metro is a public corporation which runs the Seoul Subway Line 2 entirely, and particially lines 1, 3 and 4 together with Korail. It started to open the first subway line on 1970 but official foundation was 1981 with first subway line (Line 1). Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to merge the company with Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation in 2016 for more efficient operation. The current logo colour is current line 1~4 colours. It is either to merge into a new company or the Seoul Metro will be vanished to Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation to oprate all seoul subway lines. [3]
