The Shahab-4 (Persian: شهاب-۴, meaning "Meteor-4") aka IRIS is a liquid propelled missile. It is an alleged platform[1] for carrying Iran's first satellites into orbit.[2]
The IRIS/Shahab-4 project may have resulted from the current Safir Iranian space rocket.[3]
Variants
Shahab is the name of a class of Iranian missiles which began service in 1988 and comes in six variants: Shahab-1, Shahab-2, Shahab-3, Shahab-4, Shahab-5, and Shahab-6.
