St. Catherine's High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Racine, Wisconsin. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

History

St. Catherine's traces its origins to the fall of 1864, when the Racine Dominican Sisters [2] established an all-girls' day and boarding academy. In 1924, construction of a high school replaced the academy and young men from the area were allowed to attend classes, thus beginning its co-educational tradition. The high school was named after St. Thomas, until alumni rallied to have the name forever changed to St. Catherine's.

More than 15,000 students have passed through St. Catherine's since it opened in 1864.

Well known in the state for the success of the boys' basketball program led by coach Bob Letsch, since merging from WISAA to WIAA in 2000, the Angels have won state championships in basketball in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010.
