Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures is a CGI animated television series based on the Strawberry Shortcake franchise. The series, produced by MoonScoop Group and American Greetings, follows the adventures of Strawberry and her friends who live in Berry Bitty City.[1]

It is the third iteration of the franchise overall, following the original 1980s version, and the 2003 relaunch. There have been three DVD "movies" released by 20th Century Fox, as well as a toy line originally made by Hasbro and The Bridge Direct. Both are known as simply "Strawberry Shortcake". It features songs with music by Andy Street and lyrics by Judy Rothman.

Strawberry Shortcake

Strawberry Shortcake is a chef and owner of Berry Bitty Café. She has magenta-red hair with a strawberry hat with a pink flower clip underneath, bright green eyes, wears a white T-shirt over a pink polka dot dress with lime green and white striped leggings and red mary janes. Her icon is a strawberry. She is confident, considerate, optimistic, thoughtful, resourceful, enthusiastic and full of ideas. Her pets are Custard the kitten and Pupcake the puppy.

Orange Blossom

Orange Blossom is a store manager and owner of Orange Mart. She has black-brown hair, brown-orange eyes, wears a orange dress with light orange and white striped leggings, a orange boots, and a camille flower clip with a orange in the center on her hair. Her icon is a orange. She is clever, energetic, ingenious, sporty, adventurous, caring and always ready to lend a hand. Her pet is Marmalade the puppy.

Lemon Meringue

Lemon Meringue is a hairstylist and owner of the Lemon Beauty Salon. She has light yellow hair, sky-blue eyes, wears a yellow sweater, a light blue skirt with light yellow and white striped leggings, yellow mary janes, and a lemon clip on her hair. Her icon is a lemon. She is creative, stylish, girly and a quick-thinker who can fix any hair problem, such as a bad hair day. Her pet is Henna the puppy.

Blueberry Muffin

Blueberry Muffin is a bookworm and owner of Blueberry Bookstore. She has navy-blue hair, azure blue eyes, wears a blue cardigan over a light blue shirt with deep blue dots, a blue skirt with emerald-green and white striped leggings, blue flats, and a blue headband with a blueberry on it on her hair. Her icon is a blueberry. She is smart, intelligent, diligent and is quick to think about a problem first. Her pet is Scouty the puppy.

Raspberry Torte

Voiced by: Ingrid Nilson

Raspberry Torte is a fashion designer and owner of Raspberry Boutique. She has magenta-pink hair, lavender-pink eyes, wears a short purple jacket over a deep pink dress with a light green long sleeves with light pink and white striped leggings, dark pink mary janes with a light pink strap, a raspberry bracelet, and a headband with a raspberry on it on her hair. Her icon is a raspberry. She is fashionable, friendly, polite and cares a lot about her fashions as much as her friends. Her pet is Chiffon the puppy.

Plum Pudding

Voiced by: Ashleigh Ball

Plum Pudding is a dancer and owner of Plum Dance Studio. She has purple-violet hair in a ponytail worn with a plum clip, deep purple eyes, wears a violet cardigan over a light purple and light blue dance dress, green and white striped leggings (in the TV show, one of her striped patterns is lavender), and purple ballet slippers with a violet legwarmers. Her icon is a plum. She is active, charming, quirky, humorous, kind-hearted, agile and believes there's something to dance about. Her pet is Pitterpatch the puppy.

Cherry Jam

Voiced by : Shannon Chan-Kent (speaking voice) and Victoria Duffield (singing voice)

Cherry Jam is a songwriter and musician. She has two-tone purple-black hair, lavender-blue eyes, wears a pink dress with purple dots inside and a flower with a cherry hanging down, purple and bright pink striped leggings, red flats, and a bright pink headband with the same flower as an extension clip on her hair. Her icon is a cherry. She was once seen carrying a microphone with her and sometimes duets with Strawberry and friends. Her pet is Cinnapup the puppy. When she was singing in the world tour, her hair is sprinkled with a sparkling glitters and a very smallest glitz-star shaped tattoo on her right cheek.

Huckleberry Pie

Voiced by: Aidan Drummond

Huckleberry Pie is the owner of a pet adoption service, he drives from town to town in Huck's Pup Mobile, getting dogs adopted, and has an animal shelter in Berry Big City. He has golden brown hair, bright brown eyes, wears a dark blue T-shirt with a picture of Huckleberries on it over a green and white striped long-sleeved shirt, light brown pants, and dark blue shoes. His icon is a huckleberry. His pet is Tom Tom the puppy.

Sweet Grapes and Sour Grapes

Voiced by: Andrea Libman (Sweet Grapes) and Diana Kaarina (Sour Grapes)

Sweet Grapes and Sour Grapes are twin sisters.

Sweet Grapes is Sour Grapes's twin sister. She has two-tone pale magenta hair, light purple eyes, wears a white and purple striped shirt, a light blue skirt with lilac and white striped leggings and white shoes, a white bow with a grape on it on her hair and she wears a glasses. Her icon is a purple grape. She is a chef who comes from an anonymous place. She loves sweets things as she bakes them. She has a kind and sweet personality, much to her sister's annoyance.

Sour Grapes is Sweet Grapes's twin sister. She has short violet hair with a green streak, light purple and green eyes, wears a green and purple dress with a black sleeved with black and white striped leggings, black boots and a silver headband with a grape on it on her hair. Her icon is a green grape. She is a chef who comes from an anonymous place. She prefer sour things which likes to bake them. She has a tart personality and often finds her sister annoyingly pleasant.

Apple Dumpling

Voiced by: Rebecca Shoichet

Apple Dumpling is Strawberry Shortcake's cousin and the daughter of strawberry shortcake's father's sister. She has dark yellow hair with a apple clip and a red knit cap, blue-teal eyes, wears a yellow shirt with a white short sleeved, a orange skirt with deep yellow and white striped leggings, a red boot. Her icon is a apple. She is a world traveler from Strawberryland. Her pet is Teatime the turtle.

Broadcast

The series premiered outside United States before making its domestic debut on The Hub (now known as Discovery Family) in 2010.[citation needed]

The show currently airs in Canada on Family Jr.. In the United Kingdom, it did air on TV on Cartoonito every weekday at 7:30 am, 10:00 am and 4:00 pm from Tuesday, 4 May 2010, it was then broadcast at 4:00am. As of 2015, the show airs on Tiny Pop.

Film

The Strawberry Shortcake Movie: Sky's the Limit takes place between the unaired pilot season and season one. Strawberry and her friends must find a way to save their town or they must move.
