Svetlogorsky District (Russian: Светлого́рский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the fifteen in Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Svetlogorsky Municipal District.[4] It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 32.5 square kilometers (12.5 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Svetlogorsk.[2] Population: 14,875 (2010 Census).[5] The population of Svetlogorsk accounts for 72.4% of the district's total population.[5]
