This article describes Television in Turkmenistan. In Turkmenistan, TV has been operating for over 50 years and is the most popular form of media in Turkmenistan. In total there are 7 public access channels under the jurisdiction of the State Committee of Turkmenistan on TV, Radio and Film.[1] Programs are of a low professional level and the viewer is fed a positive point of view. Criticism can only come from the President. On television there is censorship. The majority of the population takes advantage of satellite TV. Online TV is available through the website of the Turkmen State News Agency.
