The Next Web (TNW), founded in 2006, is an online publisher of tech and web development news.[2] It is the parent company of The Next Web Events series, which organizes the TNW Conferences[3][4] in Amsterdam, New York, and Sao Paulo. TNW was founded by Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten and Patrick de Laive. It employs 35 people in Amsterdam and 12 journalists across the globe.[5]

In September 2014, the company announced a partnership with Tencent to translate its articles into Chinese for distribution on Tencent QQ, the third most popular site in China.[6][7]

As of September 2015, The Next Web receives over 10 million monthly visitors and over 12 million monthly page views that increased from 7.2 million in 6 months.[8]

On March 24, 2016, The Next Web announced an updated website and logo design.[9]

TNW News

The Next Web News is most known for its online publisher role site that exists since 2006. Probably the brand it is best-known for. The visitor can search by several categories on the website, such as Apps, Gear, Tech, Creative, Money, Insights, Launch, World and Distract.

TNW Conferences

TNW Conferences are an annual set of conferences hosted by The Next Web in Amsterdam and New York. The first event took place in 2006.[10] As of 2015, annual event attendee count is estimated to be 3,500.[8] For the conference in Amsterdam in 2016, the number of attendees is estimated up to 20,000. TNW Conferences has since introduced a subsidiary program for early stage startups to launch products and meet investors, called Boost.[11] Successful startups that have launched at TNW Conferences include Waze, Rapportive, and Shutl.[11] Apart from that, TNW Conference provides several side events, such as the Hack Battle or the World Tour.

TNW Deals

TNW Deals was launched in 2014 as a part of TNW. This section of The Next Web is the online marketplace for digital tastemakers. Everyone is able to search based on interest, collections and categories. TNW Deals provides international shipping opportunities for several products.

TNW Academy

TNW Academy provides hand-picked online courses to improve your personal and professional life at the same time. Several courses are available from communication through content marketing to SEO and self-branding.
