The Thompson Sisters are a duo American act made up of sisters Tori Dawn Thompson (born October 25, 1993) and Taylor Marie Thompson (born February 24, 1992) both from Santa Maria, California. They are best known for their appearance on reality talent show American Juniors in 2003 and the American version of The Voice in 2011.

Career

Taylor's first performance was at the Strawberry Festival in Santa Maria, in which she sang "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat". Tori's first performance was in her church pageant in Santa Maria, in which she sang "Happy Birthday Jesus". From then on, Taylor and her younger sister Tori would perform at festivals, pageants, parties, and anything else that would get them noticed. It was then that the Thompson sisters got their big break. In May 2003, Taylor and her sister Tori auditioned for American Juniors. Through the show, both Taylor and Tori Thompson landed spots in the American Juniors group. Taylor was chosen first by viewers, the next week, her sister Tori was voted in. Chauncey Matthews, Lucy Hale, and Danielle White then followed, completing the group. When the group broke up in 2004, Taylor and Tori started focusing on their own careers.

In 2004, Tori and Taylor helped tsunami victims by raising money for UNICEF by auctioning off their homemade scarves. Most recently, the two held another auction to help Hurricane Katrina victims by auctioning off autographed American Juniors memorabilia.

In 2006, Tori Thompson auditioned for and got a part in a segment for Comedy Central's Blue Collar TV with Jeff Foxworthy and auditioned for the movie remake of When A Stranger Calls, alongside American Idol (season 3) runner-up, Diana DeGarmo, who was auditioning for a different part.[1]

In 2011, they took part in The Voice after qualifying in the Blind Auditions they advanced to The Battle Round where they beat Kelsey Rey to move on to the Live Shows. They were coached in the series by Cee Lo Green.

On the results episode on June 21, 2011, they were eliminated from the competition after Vicci Martinez received the most votes from America and coach Cee Lo Green selected Nakia as the other semi-finalist.
