On December 9, Moran released his debut EP XIAT charting at number 1 on US Heat. In June 2015, Moran released his new single "I Wanna Fly."

On January 22, 2016, Moran released his second EP Alive with 3 singles titled "Got Me Feelin' Like," "Cold Soul," and "Alive," along with "I Wanna Fly" and "Let's Roll." In February 2016, Moran went on the Alive + GOLD tour, also with former O2L member Ricky DIllon. In March 2016, Moran released the music video for "Got Me Feelin' Like."

On October 9, 2015, Moran publicly came out as gay in a YouTube video.[13] In his 6 minute video, Moran states that he was "frightened by the word gay" at first, but is now comfortable with his sexuality. Moran also described himself as being in a "glass closet," where others could clearly see him.
