Troubridge Hill is a hill on the south coast of Yorke Peninsula in South Australia about Lua error in Module:Convert at line 272: attempt to index local 'cat' (a nil value). south west of Edithburgh and about Lua error in Module:Convert at line 272: attempt to index local 'cat' (a nil value). west of Troubridge Point. It was discovered, reported as being a ’hummock upon this low part (of the coatline)’ and named by Matthew Flinders on 24 March 1802 after Sir Thomas Troubridge, 1st Baronet. Since 1980, it has been the site of an operating lighthouse known as the Troubridge Hill Lighthouse. Its adjoining coastline borders a protected area of the same name - the Troubridge Hill Aquatic Reserve.[1][3][4][5][6][7]

Troubridge Hill Aquatic Reserve

The Troubridge Hill aquatic reserve immediately adjoins the coastline at Troubridge Hill. It was declared in 1983 for the ‘protection of marine habitat and associated organisms and for education and recreation purposes.’ The collection or removal of any marine organism is prohibited with the exception of organisms collected by line fishing. The following activities are permitted - boating, diving and swimming.
