Tyrnävä is a municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Oulu and is part of the Northern Ostrobothnia region. The municipality has a population of 6,807 (31 March 2016)[2] and covers an area of 494.89 square kilometres (191.08 sq mi) of which 3.07 km2 (1.19 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 13.84 inhabitants per square kilometre (35.8/sq mi).
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
