Uday Chopra (born 5 January 1973) is a Bollywood actor, producer, screenwriter and assistant director. He is the son of the late Yash Chopra[2] and brother of Aditya Chopra. His sister-in-law is the actress Rani Mukerji. Uday Chopra worked as an assistant director on a number of his father's and brother's films under the Yash Raj Films banner.[3] Chopra is the owner-manager (CEO) of YRF Entertainment and manager of Yash Raj Films along with his mother Pamela Chopra and his brother Aditya Chopra, who owns the company.

In July 2012, Chopra founded his own company, Yomics, which creates comics about famous Yash Raj Films such as Ek Tha Tiger, Dhoom and Hum Tum.[4]

Career

In 1994 Chopra produced Yeh Dillagi starring Akshay Kumar, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan. He made his acting debut in the movie Mohabbatein.[3] Chopra has mostly done films under his father's production house. He starred in 2004 in the action thriller Dhoom and, in its sequel Dhoom 2, released in 2006.[5] He also starred in Dhoom 3, the second sequel to Dhoom next to Aamir Khan in 2013. He is currently in Los Angeles learning film making at UCLA.[6] In 2014 Chopra produced two films. Grace of Monaco the biography film about Grace Kelly starring Nicole Kidman in the leading role. He also produced the Hollywood film The Longest Week, a comedy-drama starring Olivia Wilde and Jason Bateman. It is the first project of Yash Raj Film's subsidiary Hollywood production house YRF Entertainment. He is also a successfully flop actor[7]
