The elm cultivar Ulmus 'Argenteo-Marginata' was first mentioned by Deegen in Deutsch. Mag. Gart. Blumenk, 60, 1869, as Ulmus campestris elegans argenteo-marginatis.

Description
Deegen described the tree as having leaves bordered with white. The leaves were described in a later reference as also being very rough above, weakly pubescent below, and measuring < 8 cm long by < 4 cm broad. The tree is possibly a cultivar of U. × hollandica.[1]
Cultivation
Probably extinct, unless synonymous with one of two cultivars with silver-white margined leaves, Ulmus minor 'Argenteo-Variegata',[2] or the rough-leafed Ulmus 'Argenteo-Variegata', both of which match the microphylla foliis marginatis description (Synonymy below).
