The United States Senate special election runoff in Texas, 1993 was held on June 6, 1993 to replace U.S. senator Lloyd Bentsen. Governor Ann Richards appointed Bob Krueger, who was defeated by Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison.[1][2] In 2010, Krueger's campaign was named by the Houston Chronicle as the worst in Texas' modern political history.[3]
