Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. The 1960 United States presidential election in New Mexico took place on November 8, 1960. This was the first year where all 50 current states were part of the United States presidential election. New Mexico voters chose four electors to represent them in the Electoral College, who voted for President and Vice President.
New Mexico was won by Massachusetts Senator John F. Kennedy by a narrow 1 point margin. In his first bid for the presidency, Republican nominee incumbent Vice President Richard Nixon was defeated in an electorally sound nationwide Democratic victory.[1]
