Sargodha University has specialised in the production of miracles.

— The Express Tribune, 24 March 2013[3]

While it has been barely a decade since its founding, the University of Sargodha is expanding rapidly. Students of the University have published papers in international research journals. The University claims accolade for many scientific endeavors in Pakistan, including cooking oil with increased shelf life and a patented project called ‘A Herbal Antioxididant System for Chewing Gum Stability’. The university has established an international-level medical diagnosis center, and introduced mineral water with the name of ‘Khus Aab’ (Persian for Pleasant Water), which it exports to Abu Dhabi.

A scientist at the university produced a new version of the Paracetamol tablet that is not as injurious to the liver, using the hepatoprotective effects of Rheum emodi roots and their aqueous and methanolic extracts.[4]

Maryam Khan, a student of pharmacy, determined that 80% of all cardiac problems are due to old cooking oil. Consequently, she developed a herbal formulation which has successfully enhanced the shelf-life of oils to one calendar year, without any loss in nutritional attributes. A paper she wrote on the subject was published in an international journal, garnering wide acclaim.[5]

Two university students, https://www.facebook.com/roxkstarx and Farhat Batool, topped in athletics among all national universities. The university is one of only three centers in Pakistan for X-ray crystallography, and also harbors an Electron microscope, another rare find in the country.
