The Press selects, edits, and markets scholarly texts, especially in the areas of the humanities and social sciences, health care, and education. Vanderbilt University Press' Editorial Committee is composed of diverse faculty and administrators from the university.[citation needed] The Committee over its five-decade career has published over 300 books (125 are still in print).[citation needed]
