Water Polo Club Spartak Volgograd (in Russian: Клуб водного поло Спартак Волгоград/Klub Vodnogo Polo Spartak Volgograd) or simply Spartak Volgograd is a water polo club, based in the city of Volgograd, Russia.

History

The multi-parent club has a very recent history, having been founded in 1994. The water polo department was born, however, only in 1996, composed of students of the State University of Volgograd Pedagogical and faculty of physical education. Nevertheless, immediately showed its worth by winning the title of Russian champion in 1997 and finished in second place in 1998 even the participation in the LEN Champions League final four (4th). It then states as the dominant force in the Russian water polo since 2010, when it put together a series of five national titles consecutive. The club also stands on continental, with the conquest of the 2013-14 LEN Euro Cup, the second-tier European club competition.
