The men's 62 kg weightlifting event was the second lightest men's event at the weightlifting competition, limiting competitors to a maximum of 62 kilograms of body mass. The whole competition took place on 5 October, but was divided in two parts due to the number of competitors. Group B weightlifters competed at 10:30, and Group A, at 14:00. This event was the third weightlifting event to conclude.[1] The event took place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi.
