100% Banco is a privately owned commercial bank from Venezuela, based in Caracas. It is owned by the Benacerraf family. As of July 2009, the bank has 19 branches throughout the country, mainly in the capital city of Caracas.
History
The bank began as Sociedad Financiera de Lara in 1971, headquartered in Barquisimeto, which was acquired in 1994 by Financorp Financial Group, then changing its legal name to Financorp Banco de Inversión, and then in 1996 moving the headquarters of the bank to Caracas. On 26 April 2006 its name is changed to Financorp, Banco Comercial, and then that same year it was sold to the Benacerraf family, on 21 August, it changed its commercial name to 100% Banco, being launched officially on 1 November 2006.[1]
