1977 Cannes Film Festival
From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
The 30th Cannes Film Festival was held on May 13-27. The Palme d'Or went to the Padre Padrone by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani.[1] A new non-competitive section, 'Le Passé composé', is held at this festival only and focuses on compilations.[2]
The festival opened with The Duellists, directed by Ridley Scott and closed with Slap Shot, directed by George Roy Hill.[3]
