Management

Club management

Kaya Mutlu, mayor of Mersin city was president of the club. However, on 27 March 1994 local elections were held in Turkey, and mayor of the city changed. Hüseyin Okan Merzeci won the elections in Mersin. This was his second term. His first term preceded Kaya Mutlu's last (and third) term. Merzeci was elected president in club congress met shortly after the local elections. Mayors presided the club many times in its history and since 1987 mayors were also elected as club presidents in club congresses. At the end of season in 2004 this rule has changed following a law issued by central government to disallow local heads of administrative bodies from being presidents of sports clubs.

After 10th round of the first stage General Secretary Münif Aper declared that they had fined the players.[8]

Coaching team

Aydın Tohumcu managed the team as head coach at the start of the season. Battal Toktay took over the team after his resignment. Both of them were former players of MİY in 1970's. Alp Sümeralp was Super Youth League team coach[9]
