The 2007 Book Sense Book of the Year Awards was the second last running of the American Booksellers Association annual Book Sense Book of the Year Awards. The award was created in 2000, when the American Bookseller Book Of The Year award, that ran from 1991 to 2000, was renamed. The books that were awarded were chosen by book stores that participated in the American Booksellers Association's Book Sense program.[1] Books published in 2006 were eligible for the award and voting took place from 30 January to 1 March 2007.[2] The book with the most votes in each category would be the winning book and the next 4 would be 'books of honor' in the category. The winners were announced on 29 March 2007 and winning authors were invited to a luncheon at the New York Marriott International hotel.[3] In 2008, Book Sense was renamed IndieBound and the award was renamed the Indies Choice Book Awards.[1][4]
