Ali Yıldırım Koç (Turkish pronunciation: [ali kot͡ʃ], born 2 April 1967) is a Turkish businessman. He is a third-generation member of Turkey's wealthiest Koç family and the youngest son of Rahmi Koç.

After finishing the high school at Harrow School (1980–85), London, he received his B.A. in Managerial Studies from Rice University (1985–89), Houston, Texas, followed by his Master's degree from Harvard University (1995–97). He worked in various companies in the United States and in the Koç Holding and became chief executive of the information technologies group of the holding.[1] He recently married Nevbahar Demirağ.

Koç Holding

Vehbi Koç, who died in 1996 at the age of 95, created the Koç Holding Corp, Turkey's largest industrial conglomerate. By first forming joint ventures with General Electric to make light bulbs and Ford Motor Co. to build buses and trucks, and continually expanding his activities, Koç built up an empire that, according to the Financial Times generates nearly 5% of Turkish exports. Koç Holding Corp. has more than $12 billion in sales annually and employs over 80,000 people.

Social life

He was former board member of Süper Lig football club giant Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü. He served his fourth two-year term since Aziz Yıldırım board coming to power. He was as "Vice-President" of the club. Ali Koç is a Rotarian and a member of the Istanbul Open Sea Yacht Club and New York Yacht Club. The company and the Koç Foundation are known for their commitment to philanthropy, especially in the area of education. Koç currently serves on the Board of Directors of Endeavor Turkey. Endeavor, an international non-profit development organization that finds and supports high-impact entrepreneurs in emerging markets.
