Anthony Michael Milone (Born September 24, 1932—) is a retired American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served as the sixth bishop of the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings, Montana from 1988 to 2006.

Biography

Milone was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 24, 1932. He studied at the seminary at Conception Abbey in Conception, Missouri, the North American College and the Gregorian University in Rome; on December 15, 1957 he was ordained a priest in the Archdiocese of Omaha.

On November 10, 1981, Milone was appointed titular bishop of Plestia and auxiliary bishop of Omaha; on December 14, 1987 he was appointed Bishop of Great Falls-Billings; he was installed on February 23, 1988.

Pope Benedict XVI accepted Milone's resignation, for reasons of health, on July 12, 2006.[1]
