The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Antequera, Oaxaca (Latin: Archidioecesis Antequerensis) is a Roman Catholic archdiocese based in the Mexican city of Oaxaca, Oaxaca.[3][4] The cathedral church is the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption.

The archdiocese covers part of the state of Oaxaca and includes the suffragan dioceses of Puerto Escondido, Tehuantepec, Tuxtepec and the Prelatures of Huautla and Mixes. It is currently led by Archbishop José Luiz Chávez Botello, with Auxiliary Bishop Oscar Campos Contreras. An additional Auxiliary Bishop-elect, Celaya Diocese seminary rector Gonzalo Alonso Guerrero Calzada, was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. [5]

As of 2004, the archdiocese contains 113 parishes, 126 active diocesan priests, 39 religious priests, and 940,000 Catholics. It also has 268 Women Religious, 59 Religious Brothers, and 21 permanent deacons.
