Elections

The Australian Liberty Alliance (ALA) is a minor political party in Australia. The party was registered with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) on 28 July 2015,[1] and will be nominating candidates for the 2016 federal election.

The party held its official launch on 19 October 2015 at a secret location in Perth, Western Australia, with Dutch politician Geert Wilders as the keynote speaker.[2]

Platform and ideology

The party released a manifesto listing over twenty key policy areas, with its anti-Islam and anti-immigration policies drawing the most attention, including the party's pledge to "stop the Islamisation of Australia".[3] The manifesto calls for a ten-year moratorium on immigration from Organisation of Islamic Cooperation member countries, other than persecuted non-Muslim minorities from those countries. It also calls for restrictions to be placed on mosques in Australia.[4]
