Barry Smith (born 8 March 1940) is a former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer from Australia. He competed from 1965 to 1981 in the Grand Prix world championship. His best seasons were in 1968 and 1969 when he finished third in the 50cc world championship.He also won the 1968 Isle of Man 50cc Ultra-Lightweight TT.,[1] achieving the first GP win for Spanish manufacturer Derbi. Smith won four Grand Prix races during his career.[2] In 1979 and 1981, he won the Formula III Class in the Formula TT world championship.
