Battle Creek Air National Guard Base is the home base of the Michigan Air National Guard's 110th Airlift Wing (110 AW).[1]

Overview

Battle Creek Air National Guard Base in Battle Creek, Michigan is home to the 110th Airlift Wing. The wing hosts three separate missions: Flying Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPAs), an Air Operations Group and a Cyber Operations Squadron.

The 110 AW occupies 89 acres and contains 37 buildings including headquarters (the buildings are industrial/commercial use). The base leases a total of 319 acres from the City of Battle Creek. This includes 230 acres that are intended for future development. Previously designated as the 110th Fighter Wing (110 FW) of the Michigan Air National Guard (ANG) operating the A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft, the unit was originally established in 1947.[1]

BRAC 2005 sent the wing's A-10 aircraft to the 127th Wing at Selfridge ANGB, Michigan, and the North Dakota Air National Guard sent the C-21s to the wing, which was realigned from Air Combat Command to Air Mobility Command, with a new mission of aeromedical transport.[1]
