Bob Swan

Robert (Bob) H. Swan was named interim chief executive officer of Intel Corporation on June 21, 2018 following Brian Krzanich's resignation.

Swan was born in Syracuse, New York. He graduated from Corcoran High School in 1978. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Buffalo in 1983 and his MBA from Binghamton University in 1985.[1][2]

He worked at General Electric starting in 1985 after receiving his MBA, holding various senior finance roles during his 15-year tenure.[3]

Prior to joining Intel he was CFO of eBay, and before that he was at Electronic Data Systems as CFO. He was COO of Webvan, and was named its CEO in 2001, after the resignation of George Shaheen[4] shortly before the company went under.

He joined Intel October 2016 as executive vice president and chief financial officer, and was named CEO in 2018.
