Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. The term Candacate refers to the institution of the Kandake,[citation needed] pronounced "Kan-dah-kay". The Candace was a Queen regnant, queen mother or Queen consort of the Kushite Empire.

Famous Candaces

The most famous women to hold the title of Candace include Amanitore, Amanikatashan, and Amanishakheto. Amanirenas invaded Egypt in the time of Augustus Caesar, but was eventually defeated and surrendered.[1][2]
