Notes

  1. In German a Doctor of Medicine is abbreviated as Dr. med. (Doctor medicinae). The habilitation, abbreviated as habil., can be obtained after a research doctorate. It is the highest academic qualification a scholar can achieve by his or her own pursuit in Germany.
