Carl Trueman

Carl R. Trueman (born 1967) is a Christian theologian and church historian. He is Professor of Historical Theology and Church History and holds the Paul Woolley Chair of Church History at Westminster Theological Seminary.[1]

Trueman is also the Pastor of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church[2] in Ambler, PA. He has authored many books, including The Creedal Imperative,[3] Fools Rush in Where Monkeys Fear to Tread: Taking Aim at Everyone[4] and Republocrat: Confessions of a Liberal Conservative.[5] He blogs regularly at Reformation21[6] and co-hosts the Mortification of Spin[7] podcast.

Trueman studied at St Catharine's College, Cambridge and the University of Aberdeen, and previously taught at the University of Aberdeen and the University of Nottingham.[1] He was editor of Themelios from 1998 to 2007, and is a council member of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals.[1]
