This is a category for all broad gauge railways built with a track gauge of 5 ft (1,524 mm), also named Russian gauge in Russia and its neighbours. In the late 1960s the "Russian gauge" was redefined to 1,520 mm (4 ft 11 27⁄32 in) for the Soviet Union and its neighbors.
