The coat of arms of Andorra has existed for centuries. It incorporates the arms of the Bishop of Urgell and the Count of Foix, the two princes of Andorra, as well as the arms of the King of Aragon and the Viscount of Béarn, of whom Andorra was formerly a vassal.

Quarters

The four quarters are:

  1. Andorra - Urgel.svg 1st quarter: arms of the Bishop of Urgell, one of the princes of Andorra.
  2. Andorra - Foix.svg 2nd quarter: arms of the Count of Foix, a historical prince of Andorra, currently represented by the French president.
  3. Andorra - Aragón.svg 3rd quarter: arms of the King of Aragon, former feudal lord of Andorra.
  4. Andorra - Bearne.svg 4th quarter: arms of the Viscount of Béarn, also historical feudal lords of Andorra
