Dariusz Stola

Dariusz Stola (born December 11, 1963 in Warsaw) is a Polish historian, writer and Professor of History at the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Stola teaches modern history and conducts research on human migrations in the 20th century, the Holocaust as well as the Polish-Jewish relations and the history of communist regime in postwar Poland. He is the author and co-author of seven books and over a hundred scientific dissertations.

He is a two-time recipient of the Polityka magazine award, and the award of Edward Raczyński Polish Foundation in London, England.[1][2][3][4] During a public meeting at the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw of April 4, 2012 Stola remarked that Communism in Poland without the Jews could have existed, but it wouldn't have, if the Poles didn't take part in it.[5]
