Debra Todd (born October 15, 1957)[2] is the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Prior to her election to the Supreme Court in 2007, she served as a Judge of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.

Todd received a Bachelor of Arts from Chatham College in 1979, a Juris Doctor from University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1982, and a Master of Laws from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2004.

She was elected to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 2007.[3] She became Chief Justice upon the death of Justice Max Baer on October 1, 2022, becoming the first female Chief Justice.[4] She served on the Superior Court of Pennsylvania from 2000 to 2007. Prior to that, she worked in private practice from 1982 to 1999.
