Derek Warburton (born July 19, 1974) also known as Derek Fabulous, is an American fashion stylist best known for working with celebrities, fashion houses, and magazine editors. In 2010, Warburton cameoed on season three the Bravo reality television series The Real Housewives of New York City.[1] He attended college at Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York, NY where he developed his keen fashion sense and honed his talent for styling.[2]

Early life

Born Derek Michael Warburton, Warburton was raised in Rochester, New Hampshire and graduated from Nute High School. Before working as a stylist, Warburton worked as a department store make up artist and at Atomic Funk as a co-partner in Miami, FL.[3]

Career

Warburton attended yet did not graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology. As a fashion editor, correspondent, stylist and motivational speaker, Warburton applies the philosophy "Help, Teach, Inspire, Love and Have Fun" to all areas of his life. Warburton is an international stylist, dressing many transcontinental travelers from UK to Italy. Warburton quickly branched into the industry by being a co-partner of Miami's Atomic Funk.[4] In addition to his styling credentials, Warburton gained recognition for himself by becoming a fashion editor for various high-end lifestyle publications. Warburton was the guest host of Britain's Fashion Avenue, and Big Boutique on the Style Network, and as a fashion trend expert for Fox News.[5] Warburton was featured in The New York Times, InTouch, Fashion news Live, and The Insider.

Other notable collaborations:

  • Collaborated with Macy's as a fashion director for the North East Tour.[6]
  • Collaborated with Teen Brand Charlotte Russe as a fashion stylist representative.[7]
  • Collaborated Nicole Miller and America's Next Top Model, Krista White for New Zealand's Fashion Week.[8]
  • Warburton announced a short lived "BCool" Anti-Bulling Ad campaign in 2011.
