Donna Lee Pence (born August 23, 1942 in Joliet, Illinois)[1] is a Democratic Idaho State Representative since 2004 representing District 25 in the B seat.[2]
Education
Pence earned her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Idaho and her master's degree in health and physical education from Idaho State University.
Elections
- 2012 Redistricted to District 26, Pence was unopposed for the May 15, 2012, Democratic primary, facing Republican nominee Lee Barron[3] for the general election on November 6, 2012. The winner will succeed Republican Representative Maxine Bell, who was re-districted to District 25.
- 2002 When incumbent Republican Representative and Idaho Speaker of the House Bruce Newcomb was re-districted to District 27, Pence was unopposed for the District 25 B seat in the May 28, 2002 Democratic primary, winning with 1,206 votes,[4] but lost the November 5, 2002, general election to Republican Representative Tim Ridinger,[5] who had been re-districted from 21B.
- 2004 Unopposed for the May 25, 2004, Democratic primary, Pence won with 2,035 votes; Ridinger was also unopposed, setting up a rematch.[6] Pence defeated Ridinger in the November 2, 2004, general election with 8,790 votes (51.0%).[7]
- 2006 Unopposed for both the May 23, 2006, Democratic primary and the November 7, 2006, general election, Pence won the primary with 1,639 votes[8] and won the general election with 10,380 votes.[9]
- 2008 Unopposed for both the May 27, 2008, Democratic primary and the November 4, 2008 general election, Pence won the primary with 1,887 votes[10] and won the general election with 13,960 votes.[11]
- 2010 Unopposed for the May 25, 2010, Democratic primary, Pence won with 2,210 votes[12] and won the November 2, 2010, general election with 6,706 votes against Alex Sutter (R).[13]
