Eduard Meyer (8 December 1919 – 31 March 1942) was a German Luftwaffe ace and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross during World War II. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Eduard Meyer was killed on 31 March 1942 near Welish, Russia after colliding his Messerschmitt Bf 110 with another plane from his unit. During his career he was credited with 22 aerial victories, 48 planes destroyed on the ground and two tanks.
