Erik Karlsson (born July 28, 1994) is a Swedish professional ice hockey forward. He is currently playing with the Charlotte Checkers in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect of the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL). Karlsson was drafted in the fourth round, 99th overall, in 2012 by the Hurricanes.

Karlsson developed as a youth in his native Sweden with the Frölunda HC organization. He played in his first Elitserien game on December 18, 2012, against AIK.
