Eugene Montanez is the current Mayor of Corona, California.[1] He was elected to his first term on the City Council in 2002. During his tenure on the Council, he has served on the Finance & Administration Committee and the Corona Arts and Culture Advisory Committee.

Other duties

Eugene Montanez also represents the City of Corona as a member of the Western Riverside County Regional Conservation Authority, Tri-Tunnel Express Committee and Riverside Transit Authority. He also served eight years as a Corona Planning Commissioner.

Mr. Montanez is an active member of the Corona community. He takes great pride in serving on the boards of directors for the Fender Center, and previously on the Corona Chamber of Commerce and Corona-Norco United Way boards. He is also a founding member of the Parks and Recreation Foundation. Eugene also served as President of the Corona Rotary Club, 1999-2000. Eugene has also served on many printing related boards, serving as president of the Southern California Chapter NAQP, the National Association of Quick Printers as well as serving on the national board for 3 years. Eugene currently serves on the NAC Committee for the Allegra Printing Network, headquartered in Plymouth, MI.

Personal life

Eugene moved to the Corona area, with his family in 1964. He attended St. Edwards School and graduated from Corona High School in 1973. Eugene also attended the University of California at Riverside as well as Cal Poly Pomona and RCC. Eugene Montanez was born in June, 1955 in California.

Eugene and Paula, his wife of 37 years, own and operate a printing business, Allegra Marketing Print Mail, formerly known as ZAP Printing & Graphics in Corona, CA. They have one son, Robert Montanez and daughter in law Angela Montanez.
