The 2012 European Universities Games, for the first time organised, was hosted in Cordoba, Spain

Bid selection

Under the umbrella of EUSA, the 1st European Universities Games were organised in 2012 in Cordoba, Spain between July 13 and 24, 2012. The 1st edition of EUG was attributed by EUSA in March 2010 during the Executive Committee meeting in Vilnius. Other candidates were also Lisbon, Portugal and Łódź, Poland.[1]

Following is a list of the sports that will be contested at the 2012 European Universities Games:[2]

Participating nations

All member countries of the European University Sports Association were invited to take part in the 2012 European Universities Games. At the moment of invitation, the European University Sports Association counts 43 members.[3]
