Fabiana Marcelino Claudino (born 24 January 1985) is a female volleyball player from Brazil, who made her debut for the Brazilian national team against Croatia. She captained Brazil to the gold medal at the 2012 Olympics.

Personal life

Claudino was born on the 24th of January 1985 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Her favorite food is Lasagna and she enjoys Samba music.[1]

Career

Claudino was named Best Spiker at the 2006 FIVB World Grand Prix in Reggio Calabria, Italy, where Brazil claimed the gold medal for the sixth time at the annual competition. She represented her native country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.

Fabiana took part of the National Team who win the gold medal at the 2011 Pan American Games held in Guadalajara, Mexico.[2]

She played for Turkish professional club Fenerbahçe during the 2011–12 season.[3]

Claudino won one of the Best Middle Blockers award during the 2013 South American Championship.[4] Her National Team won the Continental Championship qualifying to the 2013 World Grand Champions Cup and the 2014 World Championship.[5]

Claudino won the bronze medal in the 2014 FIVB Club World Championship after her team defeated 3-2 the Swiss club Voléro Zürich.[6]

Claudino played with her national team,[7] winning the bronze at the 2014 World Championship[8] when her team defeated Italy 3-2 in the bronze medal match.[9]
