The Tibetan economy is dominated by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/subsistence_agriculture" class="extiw" title="w:subsistence agriculture">subsistence agriculture</a>. Due to limited arable land, the primary occupation of the Tibetan Plateau is raising livestock, such as sheep, cattle, goats, camels, yaks, dzo, and horses.
