Summary
Propagation of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/periodic_function" class="extiw" title="en:periodic function">periodic</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/wave" class="extiw" title="en:wave">waves</a> over an elliptic underwater shoal on a uniform beach. The computations have been made using a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boussinesq_approximation_(water_waves)" class="extiw" title="en:Boussinesq approximation (water waves)">Boussinesq-type model</a>, and show the effects of wave <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/refraction" class="extiw" title="en:refraction">refraction</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/diffraction" class="extiw" title="en:diffraction">diffraction</a> and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/wave_shoaling" class="extiw" title="en:wave shoaling">shoaling</a> on the wave field.
